Observations on Episode 5
I had fun watching episode five again and thought I'd share some quick observations with you.
1. Production peeps spelled Viktor's name incorrectly on his "gift."
2. In bed Cecelia is wearing a dress complete with puffy sleeves and buttoned cuffs. Is that really what she sleeps in? Or was she already dressed for the day?
3. Didn't the designers watch season 8? Why are they pretending to be confused? "Is this a weight-loss challenge?" Or surprised, "This reward is so big, I just can not even conceive of it." Really? It's exactly the same as last season.
4. The "New Balance Track and Field Center at The Armory" was also used in the Season 5 Olympic challenge, wasn't it?
5. Becky's confessionals are always spot on.
6. Apparently the casting process for Project Runway is now "being recommended by a local fashion blogger." No wonder some of the designers have no competitive spirit. They barely had to compete for a spot on the show.
7. No one stops running to check on Olivier after he falls.
8. Olivier does not seem happy at all to be on Viktor's team.
9. Really Viktor? Has anyone ever actually chased you with a gun?
10. Anya designed the winning dress and Becky sewed it - but Josh won? Huh?

It's "Off To The Races" tonight on Project Runway as our dueling dozen designers take to the track to display their athletic prowess. Yes, that's the dreaded Heidi Klum for New Balance logo on those shirts, source of the lululemon logo controversy. Didn't we just do this activewear challenge?

Behind the Scenes on the Set of Project Runway
The Hollywood Reporter visited Parsons on July 28th for a "behind the scenes" look at Project Runway.
A highlight: Heidi is wearing a Christian Siriano design in this photo.
Also: It's clear on the set today that there is a polarizing designer, one viewers will love to hate and who will tap-dance all over Gunn's last nerve. "She's already had her agent call me. She's negotiating for more money," a producer is overheard grousing.
Well, I wonder who this could be!
And the designers are paid????

Ping Wu and Carmen Webber at NY International Gift Fair
BPR Field Reporter Mark Y met Ping and Carmen at the Gift Fair yesterday and sends us this report. Thank you Mark!
I had the opportunity to spend several days at New York International Gift Fair this week for work. The creativity and talent on display is staggering.
I knew Ping would be exhibiting her Transformer line of scarves and such. I ran into her several times during set up and went to visit her in her booth today. She seemed surprised that I knew her. How could we forget her? She is still wearing those way cool eyeglasses.
After I left her I continued down the aisle in the Handmade Section and diagonal to her booth was Carmen Webber. ("Carmen like the opera, Webber like the grill.") She was working with an accessories designer. She's already tall and today when I took this picture she was wearing wedges and she towered over me.
All the BPRs know how creative and talented Ping and Carmen are but only those of us lucky enough to meet them in person can tell everyone that they are great sports, gracious and charming. And two beautiful smiles.

Nina! Nina, Nina, Nina. Any episode titled "It's All About Nina" leaves little room for doubt about who the focus is on this week on Project Runway. Episode 3 Auctions
Project Runway Season 9 Episode 3 Auctions are now online. Right now, only four of the designs even have opening bids. This is a great opportunity to own a piece of Project Runway history.
Don't have an occasion to wear stilts to your bullfight? You aren't a professional clown? Just look at it this way - the budget for this challenge was $500 and there's a lot of fabric in these designs. (Honestly - did Bryce and Fallene even spend $50????)
You could always make drapes.

We dated for about a month. It was long enough for me to know how easy it was, how wonderful it felt, that he was the person I was meant to meet. I could feel from him it was the same way. For me, the thought of merging two households had always been enough for me not to want a relationship, because I’m very meticulous about my apartment and my decoration.
